I had a mixed experience at the Grand Hotel Sydney. The location was fantastic for exploring the heart of the city and nearby attractions, but my stay was marred by some significant noise from roadworks. The staff were friendly, and my room was clean, but there were a few outdated facilities that could use an upgrade.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean, but I noticed it was quite dated, and the amenities could definitely use some refreshing. I appreciated the small fridge and kettle, but the room felt a bit cramped.
Service
7.0
The staff were genuinely nice and accommodating, especially when they offered drinks on the house during a stressful check-in situation. They really tried to make things right despite the hiccups.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location was a major win for me. I could easily walk to the Rocks area, Circular Quay, and it was super close to public transport, which made my city explorations a breeze.
Dining
5.0
I was looking forward to the meal options, but I was disappointed to find that some items I loved had changed. The chicken schnitzel used to come with a delicious creamy salad, but now it was just a wedge of lettuce.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities included a lift and a parking station nearby for just $30 per day, which was convenient. However, I found it a bit strange not to have handwashing facilities near the toilets, and the shower needed attention.

My stay at Grand Hotel Sydney had its ups and downs. While the location in the heart of the CBD is superb and made exploring the city easy, the booking issues and outdated facilities were disappointing. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and accommodating, which helped ease some of the frustrations.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were clean but dated, lacking air conditioning and showing signs of wear and tear. The shared bathrooms were not well-maintained, with cleanliness being an issue.

My stay at the Grand Hotel Sydney was a mixed bag. While the location in the heart of the city was perfect and made exploring easy, the check-in process was frustrating and confusing. The staff were friendly and tried to make things right, but the dated facilities and lack of air conditioning were major downsides.

The service was hit or miss. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the manager who tried to accommodate us when our booking went awry. However, the communication issues were frustrating.

I enjoyed a nice meal at the hotel's restaurant, which was offered complimentary due to some booking issues. The food was good, and having a bar downstairs added to the overall experience.

The facilities were outdated. The elevator was old and out of service on my last night, and having shared bathrooms was less than ideal. Still, the hotel had its charm.

The check-in experience was friendly, yet a bit chaotic. The room was tidy but had some quirks, like the absence of air conditioning. Overall, it worked for my needs, but it definitely needs some updates.

I had a pleasant stay at Grand Hotel Sydney, enjoyed the fantastic location right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The hotel was clean and had charming historical features, though it felt a bit worn in some areas. The breakfast and communal kitchen space were wonderful additions that made my mornings brighter.

My room was decent, with clean sheets and a comfy bed, but the shared bathrooms had some quirks. I noticed a bit of mold and the shower curtains could use improvement.
